We were in the car going to Cicerellos for fish and chips this afternoon and about half way there I remembered my camera...... my dear Tony said "Do you want me to turn back" the little love...just LOVE THAT MAN !
of course I said no.... but I was sad as I just love taking the shots !!!! anyway we were so surprised at the amount of people still eating lunch as it was about 2.30ish...but they were probably like us..jobs to do in the morning ..like Tony hanging up the recent photo's of our family, and me....mowing the lawn which is so easy with an electric mower.... not doing the edges though as the whipper snipper is not electric and there is no way I could ever start that thing....
It was so cool at Fremantle....the Fremantle Doctor was in....I can remember living in Brentwood and people used to say "Hope the Dr. comes in early today" I used to wander what on earth they were talking about...WHAT DR. AND WHAT IS HE GOING TO DO ? Anyway I soon found out the benefit of the Dr as it was such a wonderful cool breeze, that we all came to love.
Back to Cicerrellos, I think it must have changed hands from Italians to Asians as that is who was behind every counter...and 80% of it's clientele....for me I didn't think the fish and chips were as good as before...will have to try it out again someday.
We then drove along the beach all the way to Hillarys'...we stopped and watched kite surfing about 40+ in the air, gosh they go out so far...I thought what if the wind dropped and then they would have to swim all the way back or worse a shark..but it was wonderful to see...oh where was my camera !!!!! we also saw wind surfers, fascinating on how fast they can go....there would have been a time when I would have tried that...now I would be just a joke !!!!
One chappy who didn't seem very confident on his Kite Ski and was probably new at it, was dragged along without his ski for about a Kilometer or more on the sand...
.
We came home and then took Hector for a walk in our bush...well part of it belongs to the dead, we are now able to let Hector go without a leash..... He really is a great little dog...good for us we feel like we have another child without the nappies and the crying....
The same with Cicerello's here in Mandurah, all Asian staff and they really don't know how to do fish & chips "our" way, Hector is soo good, Tilly off the lead is a different story xxx
ReplyDeleteI bet dad laughed and laughed when he saw the guy loose his kite, I have noticed more about myself and the Aussie way being here. Americans would be going "ohhh poor guy, ohh lets go help", where we have a laugh and keep driving.
