More Kalgoorlie

Hammond Park
Beautiful Peacocks behind this fence
Emus is the Lovely Red dirt
Our very First house that Tony and I lived in..we rented this one loved the Bay Window
Our first bought House gorgeous big Green Peppercorn Tree out the back that we would often sit under...all these houses had wonderful big back Yards
I have a Passion for Trees it is my very favourite thing from Nature aln when we were driving into Kalgoorlie I remembered the truly Magnificent Red Gum Trees the Sun was shining on them and the red just glistened on the trunk...oh just couldn't resist it...we left about ten minutes before the girls so we could stop for me to take Photo's

This is so typical of the Kalgoorlie Bush red dirt and much of it blue green shrubbery and then these tall Giants that so majestically stand as Sentinels

Ghost Gum where everywhere as well
Now this might seem strange to some but my very favourite are the trees without their leaves some are dead and some aren't but there branches are so welcoming intricate..I adore these trees the most...ok I am different and loving it !! Photo taken while driving past.

Kalgoorlie trip Jan 19th 2013

What a wonderful trip ...which for me was perfect...Nic had the wonderful idea of the girls running along the pipeline....Tony says "Oh this pipe is higher then I remember" I think it's more these old bones can't jump high buildings anymore !!!!
Tony and I travelled alone but in convoy and we loved that lots of laughs and particularly me singing Happy Birthday to him 100 or so times...he loved that !!!
We were so blessed to have Naomi Nic and Jazmin on the trip..it was full of memories for me..sat in the Chapel and a flood of tears came as I thought of so many precious times ...It was where I was baptized it was where Tony and I were Married in that Chapel it was the City where I had 5 of my 7 babies....We traveled to all the old houses we lived in some still standing and some no longer there..we went to Hammond Park a favourite picnic spot and about the only lawn Park that was in Kal when I first lived there...The girls were amazing and so wonderful and fun they have such a big Branch up there, about 250 active members and sit right back and onto the Stage..altogether they have about 30 youth...I can hardly belief it...who would have thought......when I was there, there were at times 35 and that was counting all the children......for me it was a great strengthing time and a time of growth in my Testimony of the Gospel....only one original Member left there when I was first baptized in 1967 on the 17th of February oh I remember it well.
We were asked to clean the Chapel on the Monday before we left to go back home and the girls and Leaders did it willingly...I went to visit my old friend Ilze who was the Original Member On the way home we diverted just for an hour and went to see Jack's Store which he has purchased in Doodlakine...huge Store come P.O. ...his biggest sales will come from Chemicals..oh how things have changed..he has a huge Shed with loads of Chemicals that kills everything but what the Farmers and growing

That's it Jaz get into the Mopping
Being on ones Knees is always a good place to be...hey Nome !!!
Unfortunately only two of their youth turned up to clean...But they put on some great activities for the girls..I would say the whole trip was great and successful.
