Hector

Here is Hector taking Oma and Opa for a walk..........when I look at this photo I look just like my Mum....gosh am I getting that old !!!!
Hector has had his op and is turning out to be a delightful dog......I'm really not an animal person .... oh I've said that one before...but I am very attached to him... it will be good when he can just run and fetch and come back to us in a Park....at present we think he would go to any other dog there and well who knows....we will give him another week and we will try it....... Got to lose some weight !!!!!

Missing Him

I have some real moments where I can hardly stand it.......and seeing this is my blog.......I am going to indulge in that feeling and record it for his future........ I miss all his little ways and his cute and adorable face....... It is getting better.....but there are these moments.
He allowed me to take this the morning they left....spoke to them on Sykpe today.....only briefly to say goodnight....it was so sweet and lovely...but short as I was interrupting .....Buz Lightyear which he was watching on the computor....... and thats perfectly fine as it was enough to have a little visit .........after all how can Grandma compete .......... With Toy Story..... hahaha....love him so much.xxxx

Australia Day 2011

Now if I had my camera I would've been able to bring the firworks much closer.....but the amazing thing is that we can see it very clearly from our roof and that is exactly where Tony is sitting on top of our shed roof....He invited me up there to but I was to chicken but could see it as well on the sidelines...next year I will go up there as well...as tony said he will make a little platform for it.........clever man.

Just spoke to them...they had just arrived since leaving 46 hours ago....taking in account they slept in Sydney

They're exhausted but Manly did quite well...the Christmas tree is still up and he was busy unwrapping the gifts.. a trike was one gift I heard about....Naomi said she still feels like it's just a holiday and it all hasn't sank in yet...I am glad they are there and are safe....the rest of my feelings are in my heart.......I will accept in time..it's all too raw.....as a Lady said to me at the Airport after looking at my eyes..".it's hard to be a parent isn't it". She first asked where they were going and how long for....I muffled U.S.A. and then became a blubbering mess....
I have dealt with some hard issues in my life ....but this is one of the hardest.

Farewell Darlings and yes it's thongs all the way for Naomi

He was one excited little man, going on the big plane..his been waiting to go on for some weeks now.
His bag was packed with special treats and surprises ...he wasn't allowed to look at them till he got in the plane....but he sure tried, and was dying to show Kobi.
Well that says it all !!! They will be in L.A. maybe even Seattle by now.......we are hoping their trip was reasonably peaceful with Manly.
Can hardly belief they're gone.

Our Family Walk Jan 2011

Everything about last night was memorable and etched in my heart to Manly and Mr potato head to all the family walking and doing our little things......Hector and Nic's dogs seemed calmer with each other, which was great...the last time they met they were a little hyper and the sniffing got to be too much excitement etc......but this time was better. Hector after his op was very funny...he just couldn't walk straight at all. And he certainly had some funny poses...... but of course no joke for him.

Tony always on these walks...throws out little notes with clues to something to do with nature..or he every now and then throws little chocolates into the bush that they think comes from the bush Fairies....last night it was coins...each ended up with two although Naomi got 3 as she found a 5cent coin all by herself........what was ssooooo special about last night is that at the end of the walk the kids got together and collected all the money form each other and gave it to Naomi and Luke for there trip.......... So very very touching.

Today is a hard day I can hardly go there...so I won't.... but you may not hear from me for a few days.

Sione's pig

Last night was The Holder family farewell party.....Sione's favourite thing is pig....and he put on two...this is one of them...I'm always very wary of pig meat so I didn't actually have any...but I'm sure it was nice......Tony counted about 90 people who attended...nice for them.
As I said before Sione is quiet amazing on the things he does, he built the spit and the rotisary.......Pig is definately Tongans favourite food....they eat all the fat as well.....hhhhmmmmm yummy !!!!

Now this is a model

This is interesting as it shows that one house is divided the front is in Germany and the back is in Holland....... That could be the beginning of many interesting conversations........don't you think?

The REAL thing

When Rebecca and I went to Holland we crossed the Border into Belgium and the very first shop we went into was the Chocolate one.....
Isn't it wonderful and it tastes the same as well.......Pam was telling me that we Aussies need to eat Chocolate because there is a lack of Magnesium in our soil........well I'm happy to report that I am doing my part....I probably have enough Magnesium for two in my system.

I am feeling very reflective the last few days.......

It is amazing to me that for us to travel to...... say Kalgoorlie... over there we could have passed through three countries........their life we both found is quite wonderful ...can't explain it, but it is different. Each one of our family travel several times a year....to Sweden or Spain which is a favourite spot ...Italy and most of all the other countries....Taking a Caravan Holiday has a whole new meaning when you live in Europe... no passports either ....I do envy them for being able to do that.......
Just 6 minutes down the road from one of our family.... we were in Germany...even though it was short distance away I immediately noticed that we were there ....as the structure of the buildings changed.......Germany is definetly more angular....... where as Belgium was softer..........hhmmmm love to go back one day...but it will be the U.S.A. first....to visit Naomi, Luke, and Manly.xxxX.

Still testing

Here I have one foot in Germany one in Belgium and my hands in The Netherlands

Couch is sold but Manly doesn't mind

How cute...Manly and Naomi came to our home for dinner last night, Luke was at a meeting...we walked them home as we do now because of Hector ( good hey)
Manly immediately sat on these two pillows as if the couch was still there.......funny boy.  I know it's mostly about Manly at the moment......but right now it is.......trying to suck him all in, before he leaves.

So far Hector is just wonderful....never thought I would get so attached so quick or even get attached...I'm not really an animal person... His been wormed, bathed, deflead.( if thats the right word )...and next Friday Desexed.....and Microchipped.....poor little thing so far he just takes all were doing with calmness..... Last night he slept on the floor next to me....was a bit surprised to see him there...but I liked that......
