nature says it all

Life can be like this at times....intertwining feelings and emotions, then right on the same tree was evidence of hope, new life. I found this old tree to be wise and expressive.....oh by the way I not only love wildflowers, but I have a passion for trees as well, I have even been known to hug a tree. not ashamed to admit to that one!!!!!

Nanna's delight

Tony's mother was handed these flowers which she took great delight in as you can see,

These white haired gentlemen are her newphews, she loves them all, as she said to me on the day, they are all my Sisters and Brothers children, and I expect they are watching and hoping that I will always be good to them......which she is.

Tongan way of fishing

Last weekend some of our family went to Busselton for a few days, then Sunday we went to Bunbury for a Mc Gurk Family reunion Tony's mother's family. Sione was in his element with us all staying near the beach, he grew up on an island that you could walk around in half a day. Whatever fun kids had was all to do with nature.
He said " I'm going to catch some fish, where's a rock" well, we all looked at each other....... " a rock " we said "yep" so with rock in hand he walked along the shallow part of the shore looking, looking,. for little fish.......when upon seeing the little things he throws a rock!!!!
NO not on them.... as I thought, but in front of them ..... the fish then jump out of the water and what do you know.... fish for tea !!!
Ingenious don't you think ?

AND

I want to do it.....show me again

Their is a reason for the oil as it is the tradition for anyone watching to place paper money on the oil that is on the body. When I was in Tonga, I was encouraged to get up and dance.....oh my gosh I did, not the Tongan dance or style !!!!!! but I was quite taken aback when people I had never met before came up and began sticking Tongan money anywhere they could !!!!! bit disconcerting for me, actually I collected quite a bit, maybe that could be a job I could consider........of course I handed it over to the family.

Tongan dance and

The highlight of our week was when after having dinner at Nic and Sione's our little granddaughters got dressed in a traditional costume also oil over their arms and legs and to some lovely music began a Tongan dance...Little Naomi was perfect in her performance. I can see she just takes to her Father's homeland ways naturally.Peni was just a scream!!!!!!

Now show me how it's done !!!!!! don't you just love them to bit's..........they are the greatest blessing in our life and the greatest joys to our hearts.
