I saw true Charity

Today I truly saw true Charity....it is an attribute that I would like to have more of.
A sister is in need ...... having had a Stroke and several other health issues....she is mobile and leads her life so well...many of us are very proud of her......She needed to drive to Rockingham some considerable distance from her home this Saturday....I was telling two Friends that I was concerned that it maybe a problem for her...now both these Ladies are busy people but both instantly said I will go with her....
I was so touched with their kindness it really made me think that I need to be more like that....Lucky me to have Friends that set such a good example to me

My Purchased Book

I am a Fan of Wendy Watson Nelson.....I loved her book Change your Questions Change Your Life....So I was very drawn to a small blue coloured book called What would a Holy Woman Do ...At the Deseret Book Stalls....when Gayle and I were in Sydney.......I read the first few pages and thought Wow !!!!! this is what I need in my life.
She puts out the challenge for all to consider and do the three day Challenge...
Take ONE new thing for three days and ask myself WHAT WOULD A HOLY WOMAN DO?
Well it started right away and I soon discovered that I was not a Holy Woman at all !!!!
I actually became very discouraged......I was asking that question in every situation I found myself in and that wasn't the challenge at all..it was ONE new thing for three days.
So I refocused and found such great joy in it.....
What happened in those first few days when I first opened the book was that two yucky situations happened that involved my girls and I wanted to defend them .... but couldn't or shouldn't... but didn't want to do either !!!! so I really struggled when I asked that question.....So I decided on smaller things....and found it wonderful.
Today I noticed my Son In Law about to walk back after dropping his daughter off at Day Care.....when it started to rain....What would a Holy Woman Do? ......of course get in the car and go pick him up...
I noticed a young Mother with two small children also walking in the rain ..... Luckily she accepted my lift and I was able to take her Home....no they are not big things but it made me feel great and it is a starting point..... I can also say that I do make many good decisions.
It is a few days later then I posted this...and even then I got it wrong......
It can be the same thing for three days if you want !!! Hello are we there yet !!!

My experience with Time our for Women Sydney

How lucky am I to have had such a marvelous weekend with my darling friend.......I was picked up by Gayle's Son who ..... was so very good to us and made sure that we had all we needed to get on our Flight....I  thought how wonderful and caring.
Our flight was smooth and exciting and with full anticipation .....as we travelled.
We had a great Room in a Great old House with the best Care takers..... Gayle made sure that my Boarding Ticket was all sorted out which was the one thing I worried about.....A superb friend indeed....Rob the owner or runner of the Lodge we stayed in was such a character..... one that I enjoyed....he could seem a bit abrupt to some but I loved his manner and care he gave us.
Gayle and I had the funniest experience with our mobile phones ...it just would not sound funny if I tried to explain it.....but we laughed so much that tears were rolling down our eyes. Suffice it to say that we sat there on the Ferry like two silly elderly Ladies !!!!
We caught the on off bus and had a wonderful tour through Sydney and stopped at Queen Victoria Shopping Complex.....oh my what a building.....breath taking ....but expensive ..... a bag that we looked at cost over $500 .....I don't think that our Husbands would have approved haha.
The next day was Convention and I found myself enjoying every bit of it...loved seeing women not having seen each other for ages greeting each other with so much love...about 2,500 of them.
I learnt a lot from the Speakers and came out of there with renewed courage and determination to do better in my life.
I would do it again in a heartbeat
Gayle went on to stay with her daughter and family in Canberra which was wonderful for her and them but before we parted ...... I again felt so well cared for by Gayle's children as Elissa didn't just drop me off but came inside with me ...
Forgot to write that on the Friday in Sydney......neither Gayle nor I bought anything.....that just wouldn't do. We ended up in a Chemist that night and came across the nicest earings which were really cheap....we happily each bought a pair...ahhh that felt better can't go on a day out in a Big City and not buy something !!!
Back home now and feel wonderful and so grateful.

Not the Grumpy Look!!!

It's a shame that the previous picture of me is me looking a bit grumpy....I wasn't!!!!! the problem was that the photo was taken with my ipad and there are about 10 of the same picture as Gayle was not sure if it was photoing !!!! new word I just made up..... so she kept pressing and I was kinda saying are you doing it right which of course she was....
Oh my goodness where to start ...not now as I will come back to this later as I am home now and have a few things to do like a shower !!! no not the first since having been away but just my usual morning shower.....and a few jobs etc then I will come back but it was worth every cent going there I loved Time Out For Women What a marvelous experience.
When is the next one....
