Wedding Day

This is my man with his full beard and handsome, we were married on the 3rd of May 1978....my Matron of Honor was a wonderful Lady who became my very best friend and who helped me through many trials...her name was Leonie Stewart...we lost contact, oh how I would love to see her again.
This day was a day of mixed feelings...as my Dad had a mini stroke during the ceremony and a few other sticky incidents happened that caused some heartache.....But oh the joy of being Married to the man I love and having all my three children there to help celebrate, was the greatest of all my blessings.

Three more

These three were amongst my favourites. The green one was given to my Brother..a lot of work went into that one as his beard was a mop that had been individually stranded and glued. I know that one of the purple ones was sold in York to a lady who was battling cancer, she bought it because it cheered her up and made her feel happy she said..... which of course made me feel happy.

Homemade Father Christmas

Pam and I started a business...... we got together each week and made these Father Christmas...we made a room full of them....at times is was a joy and other time we had had enough....... we took them to The York Show and sold most of them and made $1000 profit...but that was all we did with them really it all fizzled out...if we had culculated the hours spent on them we would have made zero and minus.
Some I fell in love with and just couldn't sell......I kept two and gave the others away.......he is made from scratch...we were pretty smart and it was mostly fun.......

A $2 Surprise !!

Each year at Christmas we buy a $20 gift, wrap it and put it in the middle of the room, without knowing what each gift is you pick up one, after you have drawn out a number to which order your turn comes....... Jord got a musical tie..which he will have no use for etc.... the idea is to buy a differant sort of gift that really no one wants.
All the drawn out numbers go back in the hat and you get another chance to pick out a number....this time you hope that you get the highest number as now you can pick up whatever you want from anyone, the gifts have all been unwrapped and there are some gifts you really don't want....... Jordan was able to get rid of his tie and take something he wanted that someone else had....(hope this is clear and  understandable). ......... Jaz got stuck with this strange thing called a Bubble Bra... ...I can tell you.... NO.ONE WANTED THIS ONE
Luke....is really a funny man..... he got a Flag...hmmmm .... bit of pretending here, as I later saw one of the little ones take it home. Only the big kids and adults play this game, and as we will be doing it again on Christmas day........ with a $20 gift, this one was for $2. It's a lot of fun, much laughter, and creating memories that hopefully bind.

"I not any bigger"

Today Maya turned four, her Daddy said "Oh Maya your taller and bigger now that you are 4" "am I" she said." "Yes you are, your 4 and you've grown bigger" a little later he found her standing on the bathroom cabinet....saying ......"I not any bigger"
One of Maya's favorite things to do is shopping...... She takes after her Grandmother in this !!!! Her Mum took her out for the day and it appears that she has wanted one of these roller bins for sometime. Vanessa said she bought it and Maya layed on the top of it and promptly rolled into an old Lady. Bin and Maya fell over.....with Mum apologizing profusely.
The nighty she is wearing is one of the presents that we gave her, it had little booties with it and a magic wand, she saw it in the shops, when she went shopping with me once. she said that she only wanted the nighty that had the magic wand....so of course I went back the next day and bought it for her. I asked her last night if she liked the wand...and she said "NO"..."Oh why Maya" I queried...she said with her little pout "It doesn't work" "What do you mean it doesn't work" a perplexed Grandma says " I waved it and waved it but there is NO MAGIC !!!!!!!!!!!

Another thing I love

This is another part of nature that I love, to capture the sky with all it's beauty is something to really behold. I remember when Bec and I were in Paris and we were taxing down the runway ready to go to Holland, I was sitting by the window and to my amazement there were dozens of lines like these, like stems of a bunch of flowers....I told Bec. she of course knew exactly what they were...not a majestic spectacular natural phenomenon but trails of planes that had just taken off....... I was still very impressed as there were so many and it looked incredible.

Toy Story number 4

I was going through the toys I have for our Grandchildren....I came across two dolls that were never played with and it seemed to me that they had had their day....one the hair was one big matt, eyes had drooped etc....and this little thing..you can't see it but it has biro marks all over it and a big brown ugly looking spot on the side off it's face I couldn't budge even after scrubbing ...... I had no clothes for it and all in all it was ready to be thrown out. which I did.... both in the big yellow lid bin.
A couple of days later I took some of my Grandchildren to see Toy Story 3.......I was moved and wait for it.....I took her out of the bin found some cloths and put her back in the Toy Box, moustache and all....... Well what can you say....... yes a little mad......well I really felt sorry for it.....I thought none of us is perfect, a mark here and there is a good teaching tool.
She is now happy and yesterday I noticed that little Peni played with her...........Oh my gosh I see too many Movies!!!!!!!! Will I ever live this one down.

A differant Toilet experience

Magriet hated the skirt she was given, smart me wore longer pants, but the funniest of all was when we both needed to go to the Ladies, now if you ever have been to any Asian Countries, toilets are not as we know them...as we entered a couple of girls were there to guide us to the western toilets or to the OTHER ONES that were for their own people, Magriet went to the wrong ones thinking that the girl was telling her to go to that one..but actually she was trying to direct her to the Western one....Poor darling she came out of the other, shocked, wet and bothered. and determined to hold on till we got back to the Ship !!!
The work in these buildings is magnificent and gold plated everywhere.

Special pants

We went into a Temple In Thailand, which by no means is a Temple like we know, the buildings were huge and impressive. everyone had to have their legs covered and seeing Tony had shorts on he was handed these lovely pants.....I laughed so much as he just looked so funny.... like a little man with cut of legs.
Just had to take a picture of these two elderly men...well do I need to say more!!!
I repent ! I repent !! I will listen to my wife !!!

Our men and the line thing

These are our men folk. Purfick!!!
I always insist that we do the line thing each one in his age...from oldest to youngest...this time because Lee wasn't there we had Jordan stand in his place, with the idea to Photoshop him in. 42 yr old face on a 18 year old body...should be good !

The Mac Donalds

As you can see it was the day of the flies!!! Luke said on the count of three everyone swat them away...and then quickly take the photo......we had them everywhere.
This is the best group one that I have....out of so many there is not one that someone isn't turned away, or with his tongue out.... Caleb!!!!! or someone hidden behind someone else, or with a frowning face....... can't make up my mind which one to have blown up to replace the one in my lounge room.

Naomi's skirt

If you know Naomi, she is probably the least of any of us in liking to wear a skirt....with her usual great sense of humour she is saying here "How come I'm the only one here wearing a skirt"? This may not seem too funny to those outside our family but to us it was !!!! I'm sssooooo glad to see that she is wearing decent sandals !!!! In one of her Sister's Weddings where she was a Bridesmaid, she was to get herself some nice looking shoes....on the day....guess what she came to the wedding with....THONGS !!! When I asked her why, she said "But Mum they are the right colour aren't they? yes they were blue........we as usual had a good laugh. That's our Naomi !! Thongs here in Australia are cheap rubber come plastic straps with a rubber sole.

Individual Families Still

The Kyros Family, Jack, Joshua, and Jordan. This is my oldest boy and he is the most devoted Dad...everything is for his boys.
The Winters, Katie, Rhys, Jazmin, Court, and Caleb. This is my oldest daughter, when she and her youngest Sisters were all still living at home. Katie was THE best oldest Sister that the four younger girls could have......just delightful.
There is one missing and that is Leo, he is up North working. So when he comes back we shall take him to the bush and take a photo of him.

The Punaivahas, Sione, Nicolette, Anthony, Peni, Naomi. Good, good people.
Had to put this one in ...it's Peni's little face...she so often has this litle look when she is not happy...she is the perfect middle child.
