Our Gold Balls

Each year we decorate the tree with these gold balls, each ball has each person's name on it, so far we have 29 balls. Let me tell you that each child and most of the adults, when they come in for the first time and see the tree, they come to see where THEIR ball is. A delightful phenomenon. A sense of belonging I think. What we love is, it seems that there is a place of heirachy on the tree the higher you are the more important!!!!!! only the BIG BOYS are into this.....it's cute...once, one of them found them selves in an obscure place behind the tree... another time a ball was hanging on the chandelier and not even on the tree........families !!!!! aint it great.
