My Purchased Book

I am a Fan of Wendy Watson Nelson.....I loved her book Change your Questions Change Your Life....So I was very drawn to a small blue coloured book called What would a Holy Woman Do ...At the Deseret Book Stalls....when Gayle and I were in Sydney.......I read the first few pages and thought Wow !!!!! this is what I need in my life.
She puts out the challenge for all to consider and do the three day Challenge...
Take ONE new thing for three days and ask myself WHAT WOULD A HOLY WOMAN DO?
Well it started right away and I soon discovered that I was not a Holy Woman at all !!!!
I actually became very discouraged......I was asking that question in every situation I found myself in and that wasn't the challenge at all..it was ONE new thing for three days.
So I refocused and found such great joy in it.....
What happened in those first few days when I first opened the book was that two yucky situations happened that involved my girls and I wanted to defend them .... but couldn't or shouldn't... but didn't want to do either !!!! so I really struggled when I asked that question.....So I decided on smaller things....and found it wonderful.
Today I noticed my Son In Law about to walk back after dropping his daughter off at Day Care.....when it started to rain....What would a Holy Woman Do? ......of course get in the car and go pick him up...
I noticed a young Mother with two small children also walking in the rain ..... Luckily she accepted my lift and I was able to take her Home....no they are not big things but it made me feel great and it is a starting point..... I can also say that I do make many good decisions.
It is a few days later then I posted this...and even then I got it wrong......
It can be the same thing for three days if you want !!! Hello are we there yet !!!

  2. Maybe reflecting on what a Holy man would or should do is a goal to set as well?
