That night after the Civil Marriage the family flew in, Dad, Rebecca, Matt, Court and the children, Katie was already there with me, Vanessa and Naomi...Aunty Judy, Garth and Jarrad. had already arrived as well. It was a joy to witness this Ceremony..... as it was for them and also Sione's family who are such wonderful people. There is a story about the dress, it's Naomi's wedding dress that she had worn just 6 weeks previous...Sione had told Nic you won't need a dress as you will be getting married in Tongan Culture Clothes as you saw in the previous photo's. So we didn't bother getting her a Wedding dress...until we saw a bride coming out of the Temple several days before.... dressed in a wedding dress and questioned Sione about a dress for Nic...he said " oh yes you will need a wedding dress after the Temple !!!!!! so a quick phone call to Perth... with a plea.....Bring Naomi's Dress .......lucky both girls fitted into the same dress.. But how appropriate. Naomi and Nic are like twins, they see each other every day and do things together all the time, they're joined at the hip...(so to speak) and in their hearts.
Tony, me, Nic, Sione, Peni and T as he is called, it stands for Tevita. Sione's parents.
Traditional weddings have their own charm and lovely emotions attached. It is quite obvious that more the budget, more you can make the party a lavish one. But my sister in law planned a spinster party for her friend in such less cost. First of all was booking of praiseworthy event space NYC with amazing caterers and bakers. Quite amazing DJ and cake was also done.
