Jordan and His Ice Hockey

What a shame it didn't come out as clear as I would have liked....We stayed up till late last night to pick up the Sunday Times, as we knew that Jord would be in it.
This is his Mate ....Both have been selected to play in New Zealand in opposite teams... Jord for Australia ...yeah !!! and his friend for New Zealand...even though both live here in W.A.
So proud of him, he has done so well with his Ice Hockey it is definately his passion...as well as his Grandma his other favourite thing.

Wonderful afternoon

Had a great afternoon with Jordan...he is really such a great kid...well man as he is now 19.....had lunch saw a movie and talked...took him home and just loved seeing the interaction between him and his Dad....My Jack.
He will be in the Sports Section in the Sunday Times....this weekend.
He will be off to New Zealand in 9 days and then home for another two weeks and then off to Finland again for about 7 months with Ice Hockey ..He is now in the Mens' Australian Ice Hockey Team as well, they won Gold in the most recent games in Adelaide, where he also won the most valuable player .....good on ya Jord.....Finland is a good training ground for him. But a missing him time for us....plus the third missed out Christmas with the family...At least he is right near where Father Christmas is......maybe he will bring him a gift or two.

Games I played

I was a pretty mean marble player...I loved it...the school I went to was St Joachims in Vic Park although I went to other schools this one I spent most of my time at...... it seemed to me that marbles were mainly played by the boys...but anytime I could I would join in.
I loved skipping and was really good at that as well the faster the better and I loved coming in from the side and slipping out on the other side in succession with other kids...I loved sport and was pretty good at anything I put my mind to....I played defence in Netball always defence and I so wanted to be goalie.......I was also good runner, the only time my Dad came to the Schools Sport Day, I came first in everything........My Mother didn't drive so she never came to any sport day.
Now looking back I can see that that would have been hard for My Dad to come, as he would have had to leave work. And money was always scarce.

Manly's Book

This is part of the book I made for Manly...I had so much fun doing it...who would think at my age that play time is still so important...I plan to make more for my little ones for Christmas.......I just need to become a good story teller to go with the pictures.
