Vanessa's Thirtieth

We took Vanessa out to lunch for her Birthday last Saturday as a surprise...Katie had to work and she was missed.....as we will miss THE LOOK from Naomi....her and Luke are off to U.S.A. in January....can't talk about that yet, to say we would miss them is an understatement!!!!

I felt I need to put this photo in as well, as three wonderful children were born to me form this marriage George and I were married on the 13th Feb 1965 in a Church that had no affiliation to any other recognized religion....we had no choice really as I was Catholic and George's Father would not attend a Catholic Wedding Ceremony and George was Greek Orthodox and my Father wouldn't attend that one....so we found this little Chapel in St Georges Tce. that both would come to...( well sort of )

Straight over the ship that we had been on

The whole time we were on the Ship there were two things you only had to think of......What am I going to eat !!!! what will I wear !!!! no actually there are three things ....what Show will I go to !!!!!! Totally relaxing, but for me I have had enough relaxing for a couple of years...Tony would go again tomorrow if he could...this was our third Cruise......it is nothing to come across people who have done it dozens of times...one couple were on their 67th trip........ they are retired and it was cheaper then going into a Nursing Home they said....hhhhhhmmmmmmm will definately think of that one....when it comes around

One of the highlights for me was getting up early sitting on my Balcony of the Ship The Sun Princess and take in the wonder of the morning Sun rise...or the evening stars......... Tony's joy was sleeping in !!!! good on him....but for me I found peace and a time of reflection.
I took many photo's of this..... would have been sharper with my now camera.... but still worth capturing....funny it's amongst my fondest memories of our Holiday, and possibly rates highest apart of time with Tony of our whole journey.

The getting of Rubber

This is how rubber comes from a tree....can you see the little black cup down the bottom and the white stuff is of course the rubber, we drove through forrests with these trees all draining rubber.

Now this was so interesting, I can remember the old ringers that you would wring your cloths through, well this was the same as that except that white stuff is all rubber....the man with the tag was our guide quite a character and very informative.

Bending Hands

Thailand was magic, Marvelous meal and magical dancing, full of expression...we were amazed how far back she could bend her fingers ....apparently they are taught this from childhood.

Not all were female.

So very pretty as well..the girl in the red could bend her hand back the most...not sure you can pick that up from here.
