The outside, inside

I came into my dining room and found water pouring onto my table and floor !!!!
Tony took all the ducting out from the Evaporated Air ...on Saturday as we are changing over to Reverse Cycle Refrigerated Air Conditioning throughout.....could not go through another Summer feeling so uncomfortable and hot !!! he lifted many tiles to pull the whole thing out......Actually we could never understand how come our house was so much hotter when Nic's next doors who was on the same system was so much cooler ...we had ours on full and they had theirs on low.
Well Tony found the problem the installers had put in the tubing wrong and the one in the kitchen was not even directly over the vent.!!!!....who thinks to go up into the roof to check if the job has been done right...silly us we just assumed !!!!
Anyway it's out now and a new system will be put in.
hmmmm going back to my water problem it appears that Tony may not have put a tile back in place properly.... AND he is up North.....so again a plea has gone out to a Son In Law for help..... who has said he will come over as soon as he finishes work today....so grateful again as we have four more days of rain..

I am in a little space

Of my own......I am home watching the Olympics and love every minute of it ..... It will even be better when I get my Journal book out and do some more of my Photo Journalling.
I am so weak in my resolves......yesterday I thought as soon as Tony goes up North I will really start a healthy eating plan.....like loads of veggies etc.....well tonight I had two pieces of toast lathered thick with Nutella......had to finish the jar of course.....oh I did put a banana on top
that counts for something.....
I will start tomorrow as I must do something.....as I don't like the way I feel right now.
I do love writing in this Blog of mine.....don't know why I have such big breaks.
The month of August is full of family Birthdays for us how exciting ......... two 8 year olds this year so two wonderful Baptism Ceremonies.
I noticed in my little walk today that the Reserve is full of Spring flowers already ....lovely to see....but we really need more rain and it is too early.
But I will go out with my camera tomorrow.

Not so smart

Well today it is Sione's Birthday and Naomi and Luke's Wedding Anniversary....they invited me to go with them to celebrate at Hog's Breath....first time I have eaten meat for about a week....tasty.... real good.
We were all to meet at Naomi and Luke's for a piece of cake afterwards.....off we went, me with most of the kids in my car....
.I thought I would park outside of their house and wait for them to come home.....we waited and waited !!!! I must have misunderstood and it was Nic's place we were meeting...ok I will wait for another 5 minutes by this time we had already waited 7 or 8 minutes.....after the 5, I thought I will drive to Nics .....as I moved to go onto the road and pass their drive way....I saw both cars parked inside the fence....oh my gosh don't tell me they have been home the whole time while we were waiting outside......YES and on their second piece of cake !!!!! they thought that I must have gone to Nics and would figure out that I was at the wrong house !!!!! what a laugh

A Grateful Heart

One of the girls accidentally crashed into my front gate and snapped and bent five of the bars...with her Dad's Van......... I close the gate each night for safety and of course it made me feel a little unsafe as it was  no use closing the gate because the hole was big enough for anyone to climb threw.
I told my Son in Law Brendon about the situation ...he is a welder and he immediately said he would come over and was prepared to fix it even though it was Sunday......I of course told him that would be wonderful but I would leave that up to him.......He came  !!!! Sione my other Son in Law unbent the rods and Brendon welded ( gosh is that even a word anyway) them back onto the gate.....how wonderful...last night I slept in peace and a feeling of safety......sooo grateful to have such great Son's in Law who understand their Mother in Law.

My Week

Well it all started last Saturday when I started to really feel unwell...sore throat which is not something I generally suffer from..... achy body ...but you just carry on not really accepting that anything is wrong.... By Sunday morning it had really settled in with such an awful head cold....this was not to be a 24 hour deal.....I always feel a real responsibility about not passing anything on....So I chose to stay home from Church....little did I know that this was to last a whole week going from one part of my body to another...chest, stomach, bowels.skin..dreadful headaches...... One day I was in bed with three jumpers on and two tracky pants and still freezing ...goodness knows what it does on the inside of your body.
 Funny though I had many times where I felt quite good...only to come down again.
 I quarantined myself out of reach from anyone.....not even my little Granchildren were welcome.
 I did spend a couple of hours here and there doing a little scrapbooking.
 Anyway I feel 90% better and tomorrow it will be 100% Hopefully!!
Last week Tony told me that this flu had reached epidemic proportions and that the Hospitals were overflowing and that it had made Front page news.
 Now the reason I'm writing about it is, and I am very aware that people are in different circumstance,  if we are sick and we know that it might be contagious....good idea to be mindful that it might affect others...in a more serious way...as it has my darling friend who is in Hospital with pneumonia.

Raclette Dinner

I love having dinner with these little machines.....such a brilliant idea ....and you eat as much as you want or not...... you do your own cooking in these little frypans which everyone gets two of.
Tony and I realized that we have never done this type of meal with our own adult kids......not suitable for our little kids though.....been a bit hard with Tony away so much.

WONDERFUL DAY

Yesterday Tony and I had a wonderful day....out of the blue he decided to take the day off....it was like going on a Holiday and I loved every minute of it....Poor Tony's Mother who is 93 has been feeling the cold particularly at night...we bought her a Duck Down Quilt some Winter sheets and took it over to her ...she is very resistant in us buying anything for her ....but it mattered not what she thought in this matter as she is freezing as she said ..so we did what had to be done...hopefully last night she was warm for the first time this Winter....funny Lady!
We then went to Miss Mauds for late lunch I had what I always have a Shrimp Norwegian Open Sandwich
Tony a Chicken and Bacon Burger.....hmmm both yummy...then off we went to see Snow White and the Huntsman...I loved it as did Tony....My favourite time in the whole World is being with my Man.....We really enjoy each other's Company.
After the Movie we watched the Tennis and loved watching Tour De France...stayed up late watched till the end....magnificent scenery as they were in France last night been in Belgium the last couple of days.which was beautiful as well but you sure can pick the French Style.
My mind has been very pre-occupied with the Computers at the FHCenter ...had a few hiccups but it seemed to be resolved now new wifi set up so hopefully no more drop outs of the Computers......be great to be back in full operation.
