What is a favourite Place we went to.
When the children were younger we used to go to the Bush to pick up firewood....There is a marvelous Painting which I can't remember who the Painter was but he is famous in Australia...it might come to me.... but in the painting you see the Husband chopping the wood the wife sitting on a log and the little ones playing around her...well that is how it was....although when the wood was chopped we would all gather it and put it in the back of the car.....we also used to go the the King of the West Lake in Kalgoorlie...yes there is a Lake there even though it is so arid....it was on somebodies property and he kindly would let the public in.....we even had a speedboat on it that was Tony's brother Don's ...I loved to sit behind the wheel and go a bit crazy !!!! I just loved speed.......Anyway we would go most weekends......it was before Tony and I were married so Katie and Lee mostly enjoyed the splashing. The ground though in the water was a thick slodge and black not pleasant but who cared it was water and it was hot....so just knew to never swallow it.
I loved our holiday times we would come down to Perth catch up with family and just enjoy each others company.....
The outdoor bush for me is and has always been a favourite place ...I love hearing the birds....
It's one of the reasons why I love living where I do as I can always here little birds..we both do...
Such a shame that it is spoilt by not feeling safe at times, as again last Sunday 6 youth tried to break into our shed and Vanessa's car.

A week early Father's Day 2011
This was on the front door. Both girls were dressed in white and black pants and were allowed to put on their own make up......
Nic showed Pene her face...thinking she would want to wash it off..... but she LOVED it .....so it stayed on. What a wise Mother I thought ...not concerned what others thought, but more concerned how the child would feel......thats our girl !!!
We were served an entree and a main meal which was just wonderul ....Papa and Sione each got a card with all the things they, Nic and the children love about them...then we went inside for a concert and sweets..........even little Anthony came out carrying a bowl full of chips for his Dad ....enjoying eating them all the way to the table...but before he got there they dropped on the ground so he sat down and was enjoying them from the ground... until we realized what he was doing.......He is the cutest little man...helps me not miss Manly so much.

Jane Eyre and the Spud Shed
We had a wonderful day so far...we went to see Jane Eyre which we thoroughly enjoyed, I thought it was the best one so far.... Tony said that Jane Eyre has been produced 28 times.
The very first time I ever heard it was on the old battery powered Radio then called a Wireless it was a serial that I could hardly wait to come on in the evenings.....It totally enthralled me as a young girl, I could imagine every scene it was done so well.
We then had lunch at Hans Cafe, Green Chicken Curry for me which I love, Tony had Chicken Omelette which he loves.....we then went out to the Spud Shed on Karel Rd, Gosh, what a HUGE Shop and it was about the busiest I have seen a shop except at Christmas time....Great bargains for instance Banana's were $4.99..currently $13.99 at other shops being so expensive because of Cyclones in Banana Country.we go for the Sirloin Steak at $ 9.99 a kilo at other shops you could pay up to $32.00 per Kilo
. Nic and Sione have asked us over for a show and dinner for Father's Day even though it's not for another week but how lovely...... a perfick Day.

Tony as Tone Naomi as Nomes, Vanessa as Ness..and so on so with Hector it would be what the Heck Hec !!!! no way..... so happy that she stood her ground and called him Anthony...Sam had the say of the next two boys who are Ronald Mac Donald and Donald Mac Donald.....
I conceded to Tony calling the Dog Hector...even though I don't really like it.

What did I want to be when I grow up.
Wait for it....I had GREAT ambitions.......Some of you will remember the old Boans store in Perth. within that store there was a lift with an operator....well I wanted to be the Lady who pushed the button going Up or Down.
Wonderful ambition don't you think.....My family would be so proud of me....funny thing is ..is that I hate Lifts !!!! obviously not then...

Favourite T.V. Shows
I did not see T.V. until I was 15....Eddy and I were allowed to go across the road when living in Queens Park each Friday evening and watch 77 Sunset Strip....we were glued to that set......thinking about it now , how kind it was for them to let us do that.
Eventually our parents got one and like most everyone it took over the evenings entertainment.
One of my very favourite T.V. Shows was Bewitched of how I loved that I can remember Samantha and I were pregnant at the same time and I felt akin to her...silly hey !!! was very disappointed when Samantha had her baby three months before me even though she was supposed to be at the same stage as me...I didn't understand the magic of Television.
My favourite shows now are Survivor and Amazing Race I love the challenges...I love a really good movie such as Amazing Grace...one that will move me in good things. I loved Frazier but have now seen them all loved Niles !! I love a good Doco generally about Countries and it's People. I love some Renovation projects. I loved watching a programme called Planet Earth....interesting..... I do love watching a real people Court Room.... not so keen on Judge Judy but something like that.
I looooved Little House on the Prairie ......There are a few shows from that Era that I love. eg; Sarah Plain and Tall......gorgeous.
But then I do like some action as well...trying to give an example right now can't think of any but will come back to that.

Poor Nome
She has hurt her knee my poor darling can't bend it for two weeks OUCH !!! Not happy..she twisted it playing Basketball the other night......thank goodness Luke can help and of course the Holders are always ready and willing to help particularly with Manly...
We would love to help to send Nic over...but right now it's a bit to expensive, particularly when they are saving to go to Tonga for Christmas....
I sure wish it wasn't sooo far away.

My favourite Movie
That was without a doubt the 10 Commandments...I was about 14 and went with my only cousin here in Australia...Paula in Perth......I was totally mesmerized and it embraced and solidified my soul to a Supreme Being......whom I already had known to be Heavenly Father.....I can remember how I felt when Moses's Mother had her dress caught in the boulders that were being drawn together by man power and wanted to stand up to say STOP...your going to crush her...I left that Theatre a different girl....I think also that it was one of the few times I had gone to the Cinema, although Eddy and I did go a few times to the Astor Theatre on a Friday night, while Mum and Dad visited with friends in Maylands.

Oh No !!
This last Saturday when I popped into the F.H.C. I met a lovely couple who were doing some research...the Lady asked to use the Ladies, so I showed her down to where it was and as I was about to turn around to go back...she said " Do you have some camphor on" I thought no way this could not be happening...same perfume and same result....so I must apologize first for my indignant blog about the Lady in the shop........SO NOW I REALLY DO SMELL LIKE NANNA'S WARDROBE !!!!
I thought what has changed in my eating or anything that I should be smelling like this...and the only thing I have changed is that I am taking super super strength wild fish oil capsules...that haven't been agreeing with me as I could actually taste them and they keep coming up if you know what I mean.
So no more capsules.......and until that has left my body I have switched perfumes...... today I had no comments or maybe people are just being nice !!!

ONE WORD ON HOW TO LIVE SUCCESSFULLY
Didn't take much to think about this as the word for me is CHARITY
If we all had that which means the pure love of Christ our world would be such a different place.
Can you imagine what would not be part of it...no violence etc. only kindness and understanding, tolerance, respect, empathy, happiness, safety, love, meekness, humility, wisdom, affection, joy......and everything that is wonderful that you can imagine......will we ever have it !!! no not in the world that we live in today...... not until the Millenium unfortunately, or from divine intervention, that is my believe, as we, the world have gone too far the other way......
.BUT ...... yes we can. It can start from me and hopefully all of us can have it within our families.....I believe even though our families, are all humans with frailities and weaknesses, if Charity is in my heart and in my very being, it will spread........
It is the very foundation of Christ's Character and we aim to be like HIM.........it was because of HIS charity that He could say " Father forgive them for they know not what they doeth"..... while he hung on the cross.......
I wish that I was there in having charity.... I am not.... Yet !! But with each day I try to embrace it.

Is that Vicks your wearing !!!!!
Before I went to the F.H.Centre last night I popped into Coles to pick up a few things ...so I could have an early start on my baking for Saturday night Activity at the Chapel.....I always like to smell nice and have a perfume that I particularly love made by Christian Dior....not a cheap brand !!! but I love it, I sprayed some on just before I left to go....as I was standing in line to pay for my goods there was a mother and son going through the check out before me, I was a bit astounded with their shop as the the young man had bought 12 large bottles of fizzy Kola and was telling the check out person that he goes through that in just a few days....midway through her goods she turned to me and asked me if I was wearing VICKS as she could smell it.....my jaw dropped and I wanted to say NOOOO THIS IS CHRISTIAN DIOR! ! ! but I just politely said no....and then I just cracked up laughing under my breath of course..... I didn't want to embarrass the Lady, it was no use saying anything more anyway as I am sure that the name Christian Dior meant nothing to her.
What a scream I'm still laughing about it.
And still days later !!!

What a shame it didn't come out as clear as I would have liked....We stayed up till late last night to pick up the Sunday Times, as we knew that Jord would be in it.
This is his Mate ....Both have been selected to play in New Zealand in opposite teams... Jord for Australia ...yeah !!! and his friend for New Zealand...even though both live here in W.A.
So proud of him, he has done so well with his Ice Hockey it is definately his passion...as well as his Grandma his other favourite thing.

Games I played
I was a pretty mean marble player...I loved it...the school I went to was St Joachims in Vic Park although I went to other schools this one I spent most of my time at...... it seemed to me that marbles were mainly played by the boys...but anytime I could I would join in.
I loved skipping and was really good at that as well the faster the better and I loved coming in from the side and slipping out on the other side in succession with other kids...I loved sport and was pretty good at anything I put my mind to....I played defence in Netball always defence and I so wanted to be goalie.......I was also good runner, the only time my Dad came to the Schools Sport Day, I came first in everything........My Mother didn't drive so she never came to any sport day.
Now looking back I can see that that would have been hard for My Dad to come, as he would have had to leave work. And money was always scarce.

Manly's Book
This is part of the book I made for Manly...I had so much fun doing it...who would think at my age that play time is still so important...I plan to make more for my little ones for Christmas.......I just need to become a good story teller to go with the pictures.
